Strong wind and favorable sunshine on March 22 brought the daily share of power generation from renewable sources to a record 47%, Phileleftheros newspaper’s portal said.

Another point is that the transmission system operator handled the extreme situation with ease.

At 10 a. m. the active production capacity was 408 MW, out of which 138 MW or 34% was in wind parks, while 49 MW was generated by photovoltaic units and 4 MW by biomass-powered facilities.
