The Energy Community Secretariat announced it would organize its Conference on Advancing Renewable Investments on November 16 in Ljubljana. The goal is to foster collaboration between government representatives and potential investors who are eager to explore opportunities in the renewable energy sector.

Energy Community contracting parties are establishing legal and regulatory frameworks to facilitate the acceleration of investments in renewable energy. The progress aligns with their 2030 targets and commitment to a green energy transition, the organization’s secretariat said.

The upcoming Energy Community Conference on Advancing Renewable Investments is designed to promote cooperation between government representatives and potential investors who are eager to explore opportunities in the renewable energy sector.

The event is scheduled for November 16 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital city. Registration for attendance at the conference can be found at the following link.

Lorkowski: This conference aims to facilitate networking and foster meaningful dialogue among key stakeholders

Energy Community Secretariat Director Artur Lorkowski said it would be the organization’s inaugural high-level conference dedicated to renewable energy investments. “This conference aims to facilitate networking and foster meaningful dialogue among key stakeholders, with the ultimate goal of attracting vital investments in renewable energy within the Energy Community contracting parties,” he stated.

The agenda includes topics such as support schemes, guarantees of origin, renewable energy power purchase agreements (PPAs), self-consumption, and streamlining permitting procedures for renewable energy projects.

The primary sessions will cover the following topics:

  1. Clearing the way to renewable energy transition through auctions;
  2. Promoting Energy Community system for guarantees of origin for electricity;
  3. Renewable power purchase agreements (PPAs): a catalyst for increased investments in renewable energy;
  4. Empowering citizens to go green with renewables self-consumption.
