METKA EGN has signed contracts to provide turn-key engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for projects with a total capacity of 75MW and contract value exceeding EUR 60 million.

According to a press release published on the METKA EGN website, the largest of the new contracts is with Noriker Power Limited and it will provide an innovative 20MW power plant for the UK’s electricity network. The plant will include a large battery storage installation which will provide fast frequency response services.

Being a world-class EPC contractor for utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) projects with a customer portfolio including some of the leading investors in this sector, METKA EGN will exploit the expertise gained during the successful implementation of the Oriana project in Puerto Rico for Sonnedix. The project is one of the largest solar power units in the world.

Other projects concern solar PV power plants in the United Kingdom, six of which are with Lightsource and Canadian Solar.

METKA EGN, as a joint venture between the international company METKA and the Greek EGNATIA Group, is focused on utility-scale projects for the global solar power market. The EPC contractor’s project references include 500MW of medium to large scale PV projects in several countries, including the United Kingdom, as well as Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Turkey. In addition to the EPC activity, as project developers, they have a track record of more than 200MW successfully developed projects in several countries.
