Reconstructed sewerage network IPA project promoted in Kumanovo

Ministry of environment and physical planning, Baškim Ameti, spoke at the promotion of the IPA-founded project “Rehabilitation and extension of the sewerage network in the municipality of Kumanovo”,

Project goal was to replace critical sections of the network system and to build new sewerage pipelines in municipality`s areas that never had an infrastructure for the waste water collection.

“This project will provide contemporary sewerage system for numerous citizens. The project includes waste water treatment facility, build several years ago, which will reduce the impact on water resources, environment, and people’s health” said Minister.

It is expected that this project will solve many previous problems of sewerage in Kumanovo. Also, improved system will add new value for a better quality of life in Kumanovo municipality.

In the statement on the ministry website it is noted that the Ministry of the environment and physical planning developed this project with a support from EU Delegation and Ministry of finance of Macedonia.
