Six European projects in development will be supplied by Gamesa Corporación Tecnológica. The manufacturer headquartered in Spain said it has been contracted to install 12 G52 turbines of 850 kW at a wind farm located in the island of Eubea in Greece.

The press release adds the deals have been closed in the second quarter and that the company has entered the Dutch market with the replacement of old turbines at several wind farms with three G58 and ten G52 units of 850 kW each, or 11 MW in overall capacity.

The company has also secured another three orders for the supply of a total of 35 MW in France. The first encompasses the installation of eight G97 turbines of 2 MW at the Quatre Vallées III complex located in the town of Coole. The units are slated for delivery during the last quarter of this year and the project is due to be commissioned in early 2017. The contract also encompasses the provision of operations and maintenance services for 15 years.

One of the other contracts in France entails the turnkey construction of an 11 MW development in the Loire valley at which Gamesa will install five G114 units of 2.1 MW towards the end of this year for commissioning in March. The company will also supply another four G97 turbines of 2.1 MW at another development in Brittany, also slated for commissioning in 2017.

In Italy, Gamesa has secured a contract for the supply of 10 G114 units of 2.1 MW and three G114 turbines of 2 MW turbines at a wind facility in the south.
