First call for papers for BEST 2016 conference

BEST 2016 – three-day International Conference on Buildings, Energy, Systems and Technology in Belgrade, will start on November 2. The event will focus on challenges in the field of energy, sustainability, environmental impact, indoor air quality, systems and technologies concerning buildings, using holistic and integral approach, according to the announcement.

The conference is organized by the University of Belgrade and Society of Thermal Engineers of Serbia, under the patronage of the ministries in charge for construction, energy and science and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. Along with the expert and scientific venture, BEST 2016 will include creative spaces for academics, innovators, business entrepreneurs, accredited laboratories, companies and policy makers to co-create knowledge and co-design solutions within specific problem domains. The basic aims of the event are to set the scene and show that each building with its surrounding represents a complex build environment system, to highlight sustainable building design and engineering request of an integrated holistic approach to energy, health, operational performance and economics of buildings, and to exchange achievements and experiences of experts in different disciplines of building environment.

The conference also promotes sustainable building development, environmental protection, energy efficiency, application of renewable energy sources, new materials, systems and technologies.

The papers must report original, previously unpublished findings in the conference fields. All papers will be reviewed under the direction of the International Scientific Committee by the Conference Scientific Advisory Board. Papers with archival value will be thoroughly reviewed and will be candidates for publication in special issues of archival journals. The papers that report work in progress without significant contribution to the state of the art, and those lacking a thorough literature review, are invited as conference papers, and will receive less stringent review.
