Zubax Robotix from Estonia is the winner of this year’s edition of the international PowerUp! competition for cleantech startups with the technology allowing electric vehicles (especially aircraft) to travel farther using less energy from the battery.

Zubax was awarded EUR 30,000 and a chance to be invited to the prestigious InnoEnergy Highway accelerator, the organizer said in a statement.

The title of runner-up and a EUR 10,000 prize was awarded to WellParko from Lithuania. Third place and EUR 5,000 went to the team Neuron Soundware from Czechia.

During the Grand Final in Prague, 15 startups presented their solutions before the jury, investors and media representatives. These were the winners of the Country Finals which took place in Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, Estonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Greece.

The finalists were selected among 299 teams from the 24 Central European countries.

Serbian startup Solagro attracted the attention of investors from Greece, Hungary, and Bulgaria, with whom they will continue further negotiations about the placement of their product on the EU market. Serbia was the only country outside of the European Union with a representative at the PowerUp! Competition.
