United Nations Development Programme  is looking for a consultant in Podgorica, Montenegro, for Negotiating Chapter 27 (Environment).  The deadline for application is November 5, and the starting date December 4, 2017. Expected duration of the assignment is 22 months.

The main objective of this assignment is to strengthen administrative capacities of the Ministry of European Affairs (MEA), through engagement of the local consultant. Additionally, the consultant will support the implementation of the project „Strengthening capacities of the Ministry of European Affairs“, funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and implemented by UNDP in partnership with the MEA.

The project started on October 1, 2017 and it will be implemented over the next two years.

The local consultant should support the Directorate for EU Accession in terms of contributing to coordination and contacting the relevant public bodies and relevant EU institutions with aim of managing the given tasks, analyzing documents, participate in drafting of reports and other strategic documents. He or she will be also included in the activities emerging from the commitments assumed by the Stabilization and Association Agreement in the given area.
