Danilovgrad’s public utility company Waterworks and Sewerage (Vodovod i kanalizacija) is inviting sealed tenders from contractors for the construction of wastewater treatment plant in this town in the central part of Montenegro.

The project includes design works and construction of wastewater plant in Danilovgrad. The wastewater is proposed for design capacity 6,000 population as well as for distant future for 12,000 population equivalent.

The tender is called for the plant with a capacity of 6,000 population equivalent.

The design of the wastewater treatment plant for the town of Danilovgrad is based on the nitrification and denitrification treatment processes with chemical precipitation of phosphorus. Wastewater treatment technology is designed as circulating activated sludge process with pre-denitrification tank.

A vast majority of the wastewater collected from Danilovgrad is formed by sewage water, produced mainly in households. Vodovod i kanalizacija also has called for bids for reconstruction of sewerage system.

The project has a total estimated cost of EUR 6 million and it will financed from the credit issued by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The first stage tender will consist of a technical proposal only, without any reference to prices, and only qualified tenderers submitting a technically responsive and acceptable first stage offer will be invited to submit a second stage tender.

The first stage offers must be delivered before noon on August 21, 2017, when they will be opened in the presence of tenderers’ representatives.
