The Republika Srpska government has adopted a decree on packaging and waste packaging management.

The decree regulates matters such as packaging design, production, and use, packaging and waste packaging management, and permit issuance for operators, according to a news release on the Bosnian Serb entity government’s website.

The decree is aimed at helping conserve natural resources, protect the environment and people’s health, develop state-of-the-art packaging production technologies, establish an optimal packaging and waste packaging management system, and protect competition on the market, among other matters.
