Krupa je najve\u0107a pritoka reke Zrmanje i sastavni deo Parka prirode Velebit, a ujedno je i deo evropske ekolo\u0161ke mre\u017ee Natura 2000, pa bi izgradnja hidroelektrane imala velik uticaj na ekologiju i prirodne karakteristike zbog kojih je podru\u010dje i stavljeno pod hrvatsku i me\u0111unarodnu za\u0161titu, dodaje se u saop\u0161tenju.<\/p>\n
„Odluka investitora da se povu\u010de iz ovog projekta je vi\u0161e nego dobrodo\u0161la, jer je jedina ispravna kako bi se sa\u010duvao jedan od temeljnih prirodnih fenomena zbog kojih je Park prirode Velebit i progla\u0161en, a to su sedrene barijere.\u00a0I stru\u010dno vodstvo Parka tako\u0111e je bilo protiv izgradnje, \u0161to su jasno rekli i samom investitoru\u201c, rekla je\u00a0Irma Popovi\u0107 Dujmovi\u0107, koordinatorka projekata u WWF Adria.<\/p>\n
U WWF-u ka\u017eu da je privatni investitor planirao da izgradi hidroelektranu snage 1,6 MW s branom visine 1,5 i du\u017eine 45 metara, i cevovodom du\u017eine 170 metara kojim bi se preusmeravao tok reke na turbinu. Ka\u017eu da bi ceo zahvat uticao na dno reke u povr\u0161ini od 2.000 kvadratnih metara, u velikoj ve\u0107ini prirodnih sedrenih barijera.<\/p>\n
Podru\u010dje je toliko nepristupa\u010dno da je investitor razmi\u0161ljao \u010dak o gradnji pomo\u0107u helikoptera, bez obzira na uticaj buke, vrtloga vazduha i izduvnih gasova na prirodu i \u017eivotinjski svet ovog za\u0161ti\u0107enog podru\u010dja, dodaje se u saop\u0161tenju.<\/p>\n
