RENEXPO prepares three-day water management, wastewater event
REECO SRB said that after five RENEXPO successfully organized events, it expands its range and announces its Water Management conferences, forum and trade fair, to be held in Belgrade from June 6 to June 8. The platform with all around water-related topics was launched in Serbia due to demand from international companies and the need of the countries in the Western Balkans, organizers said.
Segments include disaster risk management with issues of flood prevention and protection in the region; wastewater treatment, reclamation and purification; wells and pipes for drinking water; and management of resources. The flood prevention topic will be covered by representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), affected municipalities from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the City of Vienna. Energiewende will present energy transition in Germany, and an open forum will be held on privatization of water supply systems in the Western Balkans. Expert knowledge will be shared on biodiversity – water, forestry and land management, while the gathering about large hydropower is planned to include topics of revitalization and refurbishment.
Side programmes include a round table for municipalities in the region and a training conference on how to apply on tenders. RENEXPO Water Management is supported by companies and institutions such as Ost-Ausschuss der Deutschen Wirtschaft, Institute Jaroslav Černi, Nordic Business Alliance, Confindustria, and French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce. All conferences are supported by the Government of Serbia through the ministries of agriculture and environmental protection, the interior, and mining and energy.
